QOBUZ MUSIC SERVICE ADDED TO FUSION MUSIC SERVERS

Fusion Research, has added the integration of Qobuz, the acclaimed high-resolution music streaming service, into its music servers.  Qobuz joins other streaming services like Pandora, Spotify, SirusXM and the commercial service SoundMachine on Fusion Music Servers

FUSION LAUNCHES NEW MUSIC STREAMER

Fusion has introduced the all new CS-200 2 source music streamer.  The CS-200 is a two-source music server that supports premium streaming music apps or your own digital music collection.  It also acts as an AirPlay receiver for a customer's mobile music collection or streaming service.  If you need more than two discrete sources, you may add mulitiple CS-200's to your project and they will work seamlessly together.

ATLONA & FUSION RESEARCH ESTABLISH PARTNERSHIP FOR BACKGROUND MUSIC & CONTROL SERVICES

Atlona, a Panduit company, has partnered with Fusion Research to strengthen local control of the sonic environment in public spaces. The partnership tightens integration between Fusion Research music servers and Atlona Velocity AV control systems inside businesses, providing local staff with an improved user experience for managing background music streams.

“Atlona integrators can now offer background music to their end clients as an ongoing business service,” said Ingo Schmoldt, VP of Sales. “Users will benefit from a service that includes multiple custom channels at one low price, with complete control over the atmosphere in every zone. This ensures that staff and management can serve the right music for each public space at the right time of day.”

FUSION LAUNCHES AMPLIFIED MUSIC SERVER SOURCE

Fusion has introduced the PA-1 a 45W amplified (60W w/optional power supply) music server.  Utilizing all the same major streaming services available in Fusion's current sources, it also supports AirPlay and a client's own digital music  collection.  Current partner drivers have all been updated to take advantage of this latest product.

Perfectly situated for either the commercial hospitality or residential home market space, the PA-1 is a stand alone music server that may be combined with other Fusion Music Servers on the network to create a simple, robust multi-room music distribution system.

QSC & FUSION RESEARCH PARTNER TO CREATE FIRST MUSIC SERVER PLUG-IN FOR Q-SYS CONTROLLERS

Fusion and QSC have partnered to develop a Q-SYS control plugin that enables simple integration of Fusion Music Servers into the Q-SYS Ecosystem.  The plugin allows for configuration of Fusion Music Servers within Q-SYS Designer Software and lets users access their music libraries and audio controls via Q-SYS network touch screen controllers.

 

The plugin is available to download through Q-SYS Designer Asset Manager, a web-based repository accessible via Q-SYS Designer Software.

Fusion Research Introduces 4k/UHD Movie Servers

May 2019

 

Fusion Research has announced that they are now shipping a Genesis 4k/UHD movie server.  This unit will replace the current Genesis Movie Server line and feature 12TB of RAID storage and the ability to archive UHD discs as well as a client’s DVD and Blu-ray collection. It is available for $6999 MSRP, which is $1000 less than the previous model Genesis 12TB model.

 

“This has been, by far the most requested feature upgrade for our movie server line,” said Alexander Fanti, CTO of Fusion Research.  “It required a lot of engineering, but we are very happy to offer our dealers and their clients a server that archives their entire disc collection.”

Fusion Doubles the Sources on Solo Music Servers

Fusion Research announced that effective immediately, they will offer an  additional discrete audio output on its Solo and Duet streamers at no additional cost, making its entry-level piece the lowest cost two-source solution in the industry.

 

“Most residential and commercial clients request more than one independent audio source.  By upgrading the Solo to be a two output source unit, it fulfills that need for under $600, making us the market leader for value in this category,” said Joseph Storm, President of Fusion Research.  “We are also able to offer this upgrade to previously purchased Summit OS based servers for a nominal fee.”

As for the entertainment portion of the system, DVACO added multi-room audio with five Niles Auriel audio controllers/amplifiers and speakers, plus five Fusion Research Ovation Solo media servers to deliver streaming audio sources to all 12 zones.

 

“Our client wanted each room to have a dedicated Elan interface so there is always a touchscreen nearby that can change lighting or climate, and also function as an intercom to provide communication to every room,” says DVACO Group representative Anita Liu.”

Regarded as a key contributor to the MLB San Francisco Giants’ success over the last decade, retired pitcher Matt Cain has two World Series championships under his belt and is a possible first ballot lock for the Hall of Fame. After retiring from baseball in 2017, Cain moved out of the spotlight to the quiet serenity of Paradise Valley, Ariz., where he built a custom 8,300-square foot Southwest-inspired smart home, fully equipped with an ELAN control system designed by JL Automation

Fusion adds the Commercial Music Service SoundMachine

Fusion Research announced today that it has added the commercial based streaming music service SoundMachine to its award winning line of music servers.   This service will be available through Fusion’s partner control companies including Crestron, Control4, RTI, Elan, URC, Niles, Speakercraft, Compass Controls and some Savant systems.  It includes an amazing recurring revenue program for system integrators.

Fusion Research has added US-based iHeartRadio stations

Fusion Research has added US based iHeartRadio stations to their Summit Music Servers.  This brings back many of the local radio stations that used to be available through the Tune-in service that Fusion also supports. 

“We are excited to have this service available for our client’s customers who want to listen to US based radio stations”, said Robert Lew, Audio Product Manager, Fusion Research, “this is just the first of several new services we will be adding in this first quarter of 2018.”

Fusion Research has new Crestron Music Server Driver

Fusion Research has announced that it has a Creston approved free music server driver that utilizes Crestron’s SmartObject Media Player interface as well as their recently released Generic Media Server Symbol.

“Having Fusion’s line of music servers available for easy integration into Crestron systems is great for our dealers,” said Crestron’s Robert Bavolacco, Manager, Partner Programs, “their products are sold only through the integration channel and it gives our dealers yet another quality choice when meeting their customer’s music requirements.”

New Control4 Certified Audio Driver for Summit Music Servers

Fusion Research, one of the longest tenured Control4 manufacturing partners, announced that its latest music server driver built to support their new Summit operating system has been officially certified by Control4.  This driver includes mini-driver support for Fusion’s streaming apps which gives Control4 dealers immediate access to those apps from the Listen screen on the Control4 interface.

“We worked hard to make this driver similar to the former driver that Extra Vegetables employed for Control4 that was such a dealer favorite”, mentioned Alex Fanti, CTO of Fusion Research, “In this way, dealers can ensure that the product installation and consumer feel will be close to what they used to be able to achieve with that now defunct driver.”
