Fusion Adds Tidal To Ovation & Play-Fi® Music Servers

Fusion Research has announced the addition of the Tidal lossless streaming music service for their Ovation and Play-Fi music servers...

Fusion Research announced today that it began shipping the first Play-Fi™ Servers last week to key partners including fellow manufacturers Paradigm and Martin Logan. 

 

According to Paul Grove, VP of Sales for Paradigm, “...now that we’ve launched our new line of Play-Fi products, we can offer the Ovation Play-Fi Server as the way to bridge our products to all the popular control systems.”

Fusion Research, an inaugural Control4 Certified Partner, has announced that on May 27th they officially became the first third-party manufactured music servers to be certified by Control4.

VANTAGE RELEASE SOFTWARE UPDATES INCLUDING FUSION DRIVER

FUSION INTRODUCES NEW OVATION SETUP WIZARD

Fusion Research, has just released a new setup utility for its line of music servers.  The new utility features a step-by-step wizard as well as a new configuration assistant tool.  The utility is available as an executable program that may be downloaded directly from the company’s website. There is a short video touring the new wizard on the support page of the website.


"We wanted to create a setup utility that automates, as well as simplifies, the whole dealer installation," mentions Alex Fanti, Chief Technology Officer, "Amongst its other features, it streamlines the iTunes and other remote music folder synchronization process."

AMAZON FIRE TV TWO-WAY DRIVERS AVAILABLE FOR URC, CONTROL4, RTI

Fusion Research announced that they created two-way IP drivers for Amazon's Fire TV & Stick products.  This IP control that Fusion has written will be able to work with most major home automation companies.  The first drivers available are for URC, Control4 & RTI with a Savant driver available shortly.


"One challenge up to this point, has been how to incorporate the Fire TV into a control job", said Ingo Schmoldt, VP of sales, "Now, with IP control, dealers will be able to fully incorporate an Amazon Fire TV into their client’s projects.”

URC DRIVER FOR OVATION MUSIC SERVERS

Fusion Research and URC announced today that a new two-way driver for Fusion’s Ovation products is now available for use in both URC Total Control® or ccGEN2®automation systems.  There will be a new two-way driver for Fusion’s EPIC movie server products coming shortly.


"We’ve been working  closely with URC’s engineering team for a long time; it’s been a key goal for us to be able to work with all URC products," said Ingo Schmoldt, VP of sales, "After the announcement at CEDIA that URC dealers would no longer be able to purchase Extra Vegetables Sonos drivers, this became priority number one.  URC dealers now have a choice in affordable high definition whole home audio."

FUSION INTRODUCES NEW PREMIERE MKII MOVIE SERVER

Fusion Research announced that is now shipping a new version of its popular entry level movie server, the Premiere MkII. It features 2TB of internal storage holding up to 300 DVDs and like all Fusion

movie servers, you can expand your storage by using a standard NAS on the network.


"As we’ve seen the price of HDMI matrix switches drop, a lot more integrators are installing the

Premiere into racks and running them through the entire house,” said Ingo Schmoldt, VP Sales of Fusion Research. “This new product will slot in without the need of an additional custom shelf kit and when the ears are removed, it looks great on its own sitting in a room.”

Fusion Research, an inaugural Control4 Certified Partner, has announced the release of a new driver for its Ovation products, taking advantage of the new features available in Control4's 2.6 software release.


"Our engineers worked directly with Control4's Watch & Listen team of engineers from the very early days of development on the Media Service Proxy." said Ingo Schmoldt, VP of Sales, "This direct involvement led to not only improved functionality for the Fusion driver, but additions and improvements to the proxy itself."

FUSION ADDS AIRPLAY RECEIVER TO ALL OVATION PRODUCTS

Fusion Research announced that it has begun shipping three new products that make up their Ovation Wireless Audio Distribution System.  The new products includes a Base Station that acts as the server, or brains, of the system and two new players, one amplified and one passive.


 “We've had this on our radar screen for a long time." Said Vice President of Sales Ingo Schmoldt,  "Whole home audio distribution utilizing an audio matrix switch is fine for new construction but this product really opens up how integrators will be able to build systems in places where running wire is just not feasible."
