Controlling the expense of media servers...

It was apparent for us at Fusion that the bulk of expense for media servers was buried in proprietary storage. As soon as you grow your system, or if you had a large collection the price of the systems would skyrocket.

This is where Fusion decided to put value back in what we do best and allow people to add their own storage and we provide the interface, networking and playback. We have certified several terrific storage solutions from three manufacturers who all offer very reliable and cost effective products.

These NAS (network attached storage) solutions offer many of the features that the expensive proprietary media servers do such as; automatic event notifications through email, temperature monitoring, event logs, raid redundancy and great proven reliability with hundreds of thousands in the field.

These two manufacturers have been certified and used by our dealers in jobs both large and small throughout the world. These products scale wonderfully and can be easily expanded to accommodate any size collection.

We have had many customers start with a single small NAS and simply add as they go to accommodate collections over 4,000 movies with great results and for a fraction of the cost of other high cost media server systems.
